Strawberry Bread I

A bread you MUST try! This is one you’ll want to keep on hand.

Step: 1

Grease and flour a 9 x 5 inch pan well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step: 2

In a large mixing bowl, sift together sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda.

Step: 3

In a smaller bowl, beat the eggs and oil. Stir in pecans and strawberries. Add egg mixture to the sifted ingredients, and stir until just combined.

Step: 4

Bake for 1 hour, or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

The quality of the flour could make a real difference to your bread. Different brands do vary. Great taste or Canadian flours, which are bet higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard bread flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal bread , which not always getting bigger as well as white bread.

To make this in a dough , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be done in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great limit , as you can work it night before , then finish it off the next day.
