Simple Yorkshire Pudding

A delicious 15-minute Yorkshire pudding.

Step: 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a small glass baking dish; place in oven to heat while you prepare the pudding.

Step: 2

Beat eggs with a pinch of salt in a bowl until smooth; add milk and flour and whisk until you have a smooth batter.

Step: 3

Pour batter into the hot baking dish and bake in preheated oven until no longer wet in the center, 10 to 12 minutes.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real difference to your bread. Different brands do vary. Extra-strong or Canadian flours, which are naturally higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard bread flours – especially if you’re making wholemeal dough , which not always getting bigger as well as white bread.

To make this in a dough , add all the ingredients to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be make in the fridge overnight . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great limit , as you can work it yesterday , then clear it off the next day.
