Pear-a-dise Muffins

Grated lemon or orange rind may be added to this recipe for a slightly different flavor.



Step: 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Butter 15 muffin cups, or line with paper liner cups.

Step: 2

Mix together flours, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir pears lightly into dry ingredients.

Step: 3

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, oil, honey, and egg. Mix in flour mixture until just combined. Spoon into muffin cups.

Step: 4

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until done.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real deal to your bread. Different brands do vary. Extra-strong or Canadian flours, which are bet higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard bread flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which not always getting bigger as well as white bread.

To made this in a breadmaker , add all the ingredients to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be make in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great timesaver , as you can start it yesterday , then clear it off the next day.
