Passover Bunuelos

A great Passover treat! Doughnut like balls made of matzo meal are fried to perfection. Dipped in sugar, they are a treat you are sure to enjoy year round!

INGRIDIENT

Step: 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, water and salt. Add the matzo meal and whisk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Step: 2

Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough carefully into the oil and cook until golden brown on both sides. Drain briefly on paper towels, then toss in sugar while still warm.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real deal to your bread. Different brands do vary. Great taste or Canadian flours, which are bet higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard dough flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which not always rise as well as clear bread.

To made this in a dough , add all the ingredients to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be make in the fridge overnight . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great limit , as you can work it yesterday , then finish it off the next day.
