Grandmas Banana Bread

A super moist banana bread which uses six bananas!

INGRIDIENT

DIRECTION

Step: 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Step: 2

In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Stir in the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla.

Step: 3

In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Blend this mixture into the egg mixture, alternately with the buttermilk; stir just to combine. Fold in the mashed bananas; mixing just enough to evenly combine. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Step: 4

Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes our clean, about 60 minutes.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real deal to your bread. Different makers do vary. Extra-strong or Canadian flours, which are naturally higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard bread flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which not always getting bigger as well as clear bread.

To make this in a dough , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the makers instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be make in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great timesaver , as you can start it night before , then finish it off the next day.
