Gluten-Free White Bread

Are you looking for a foolproof gluten-free bread that is so easy you’ll bake it on a daily basis? Here is the easiest and tastiest loaf, no kneading required, and it bakes perfectly in only 45 minutes.

Step: 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water in a bowl. Let stand until yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam, about 10 minutes. Add egg, egg white, oil, and vinegar; whisk until well combined.

Grease a 2-pound loaf pan.

Step: 3

Sift flour and xanthan gum into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix on low speed. Gradually mix in yeast mixture. Increase speed to medium and mix until batter is smooth. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.

Step: 4

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Step: 5

Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, about 45 minutes. Carefully tip the loaf out onto a work surface and gently tap the bottom; if it sounds hollow, it is done. Cover with a towel and let cool before slicing.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real difference to your bread. Different brands do vary. Extra-strong or Canadian flours, which are naturally higher in gluten, may give you a best rise than standard dough flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which not always getting bigger as well as white bread.

To made this in a breadmaker , add all the ingredients to your breadmaker and follow the makers instructions.

A bread first rising can be make in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great limit , as you can start it night before , then clear it off the next day.
