Easy Honey Cornbread Muffins

Quick and easy! Most ingredients are already in the pantry!



Step: 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray or lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan.

Step: 2

Mix milk and cornmeal in a bowl and let sit for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Mix in flour, oil, white sugar, brown sugar, honey, egg, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each cup 2/3 full.

Step: 3

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.

Step: 4

Mix butter, cinnamon, and honey together in a bowl. Serve honey butter with muffins.

The best flavour of the flour can make a real deal to your bread. Different brands do vary. Great taste or Canadian flours, which are naturally higher in gluten, may give you a best rise than standard bread flours – especially if you’re making wholemeal bread , which not always rise as well as clear bread.

To make this in a breadmaker , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be make in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great timesaver , as you can start it yesterday , then finish it off the next day.
