Chocolaty Beet Muffins

Get some fruit and vegetables in these tasty chocolate muffins!

Step: 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray 12 muffin cups with cooking spray.

Step: 2

Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Stir beets, applesauce, oil, honey, and egg together in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture just until batter is combined. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups.

Step: 3

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 18 minutes. Remove muffins from tin immediately.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real deal to your bread. Different makers do vary. Great taste or Canadian flours, which are naturally higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard dough flours – especially if you’re making wholemeal dough , which not always rise as well as white bread.

To make this in a breadmaker , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A bread first rising can be make in the fridge 24 hours . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great limit , as you can start it yesterday , then finish it off the next day.
