Chocolate Chip Bread II

A wonderful chocolaty bread. You might want to turn the darkness control down on your machine so the bread doesn’t get too dark.

Step: 1

Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select White Bread cycle; press Start.

Step: 2

If your machine has a Fruit setting, add chocolate chips at the signal, or about 5 minutes before the kneading cycle has finished.

The best flavour of the flour could make a real difference to your bread. Different makers do vary. Great taste or Canadian flours, which are bet higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard dough flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which doesn’t always rise as well as white bread.

To make this in a dough , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

A bread first rising can be done in the fridge overnight . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great timesaver , as you can start it yesterday , then finish it off the next day.
