90-Second Breakfast Keto Bread

I’ve tweaked a few recipes to come up with this microwave keto bread. It’s my go-to for fried egg and bacon breakfast sandwiches. The onion powder gives this a great flavor. Cut in half horizontally and fry up in the skillet or toast in the toaster oven for best results.



Step: 1

Melt butter in a 4-inch ramekin in the microwave on high, about 25 seconds. Carefully remove from the microwave with a pot holder.

Step: 2

Add almond flour, Cheddar cheese, onion powder, and baking powder; mix until combined. Stir in egg until incorporated.

Step: 3

Microwave on high until set, about 90 seconds. Remove from the microwave and let stand for 1 minute.

Step: 4

Run a butter knife around the edges and invert onto a plate. Cut horizontally to make 2 pieces of bread.


Per Serving: 345 calories; protein 13.5g; carbohydrates 6.2g; fat 30.8g; cholesterol 225.3mg; sodium 325.6mg.

The best flavour of the flour can make a real deal to your bread. Different makers do vary. Extra-strong or Canadian flours, which are bet higher in gluten, may give you a better rise than standard dough flours – especially if you’re make wholemeal dough , which not always rise as well as clear bread.

To make this in a breadmaker , add all the menus to your breadmaker and follow the makers instructions.

A dough’s first rising can be done in the fridge overnight . This slows down the time it takes to rise to double its size, giving it a deeper flavour. It’s also a great timesaver , as you can start it yesterday , then clear it off the next day.
